Swala is one of the seven lineages available in The Wagadu Chronicles. This lineage is known for having arisen as a splinter of another lineage, the Emere. They have a close relationship with bovines and antelopes, and they are easily recognizable by their horns.

The first Swala who left the safety of the known rainforests into the grasslands did so following queen Nalangu. They had many tribulations adapting to this new environment already populated by Lionbloods, but with the blessings of antelope and cattle Spirits alike, they survived and flourished.

Their Ancestral language is known as Ancestral Swala.

Manifestations

Swala manifestations have some traits that hint to their Emere past, and others that clearly signal their ancient pact with Spirits of the grasslands.

Eland Swala

Eland Swala take after the eland Spirit who helped Nalangu and her people. Their horns are shaped like those of an eland.

Buffalo Swala

These Swala have powerful horns that take after the different buffalos one can find in Wagadu.

Sanga Swala

The sanga are a type of cattle with long horns typical of Wagadu. This Swala manifestation shares their horn shape with this beloved cattle animal.
