General

Spelling
Use American English
Hyphening words
In cases where a term can be used with or without a hyphen the best option would be to go without
Example: Afrofantasy, rather than Afro-fantasy
Oxford / Serial Comma
Use whenever possible
Example: I harvested common bark, good bark, and great bark
Italicizing non-English words
Please do not italize foreign words
Style
Use standard, formal English without contracted forms or unnecessary slang
Tone
Use a neutral, objective perspective by sticking to facts and avoiding personal opinions
Write in third person (avoid using terms such as 'I' or 'you')
Content
Game information should reflect what it is available in the current version of the game

Capitalization

We capitalize whenever we are referring to words in a Wagadu sense, rather than its traditional English meaning, as well as proper nouns.

❌ Akana’s lineage is Emere. They descend from an ancient lineage of merchants, of several different lineages.
✅ Akana’s Lineage is Emere. They descend from an ancient lineage of merchants, of several different Lineages.
❌ You can play as a lionblood.
✅ You can play as a Lionblood.
❌ The vines are guarded by a plant Spirit.
✅ The vines are guarded by a Plant Spirit.

Formatting

  • Link the first mention of an entity name. There is no need to link the rest of the mentions in the page, unless you are redirecting to a specific header of said page.
  • Use MediaWiki's syntax over HTML when possible.
  • Use straight quotation marks (" & ').
